and Training Systems Health Fairs
A
Great Health Fair!
What
makes a great health fair and what can you offer for
your employees that will ensure participation?
- Presentations
should meet the needs of your population. We can look
at the demographics of your employees and determine
the presentations that will best suit your needs.
- Screening
tools that are fast and painless! Total cholesterol
and HDL, fasting blood glucose and body fat percentage
are some of the most popular screenings that we offer.
Our experienced Registered Nurse will set you at ease!
- Food
ensures that people will show up! You may offer healthy
snacks and lunch, 10-minute individual neck and back
massage and a stress-relief exercise presentation
to encourage participation.
Health Professionals Ready To Serve You
We
have a staff of health professionals, Registered Nurses,
an Exercise Physiologist, a Psychologist and Registered
Dietitians ready to administer individual and group
consultations and health screening activities.
Seminar
Offerings
Click
on our seminar links for descriptions of the different
one-hour presentations that we offer. We can customize
presentations to meet the needs of your group. Most
groups choose two exercise presentations and two nutrition
presentations during the course of a one-day health
fair.
Individual
Consultations
No
health fair is complete without some one-on-one advice.
We can offer 15-minute individual nutrition or exercise
consultations to help your employees reach their goal
of good health and fitness.
What
Kind of Space is Needed?
For
individual consultations, we need one or two private
areas, an office with a closed door is ideal. For presentations,
we need a screen (we bring our own projector) and table
and chairs for participants. For screenings, we need
a table and chairs. You may want to provide signs to
guide your employees to appropriate areas. Schedules
of events are helpful to boost participation during
the week before the event.
Are
You at Risk for Heart Disease or Diabetes?
Take
our heart disease and diabetes questionnaire.
